Spirometry is recommended for measuring the limitation of the air flow, and also for emphasizing the reversibility of the obstructive process.

Spirometry is used for diagnosing several chronic diseases for lungs and bronchia (asthma, BPOC, emphysema) and for evaluating their gravity and their evolution.

Spirometry measures:

  • forced vital capacity (FVC)
  • maximum expiratory volume per second (MEVS)

You calculate MEVS/FCV.

The MEVS growing with at least 12% and >200 ml from the ordinary value you get from administrating a bronchodilator indicates asthma.

MEDO gives the possibility for you to have this investigation at our clinic, at your home or at the headquarters of your firm for occupational medicine.
